A busy fast pace Cardiology group in Torrance, CA seeks a full-time experienced medical assistant to start ASAP!! This is a full-time permanent opportunity with great benefits after completion of the probationary period!

Schedule is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cardiology office experience is preferred.
• Back office patient intake and preparation including checking vital signs, medication history, performing EKG's and if needed, placing Holter monitors (will be trained as needed)
• Familiar with Electronic Health Record (will be trained as needed). We use Cerner
• Assist in obtaining preauthorization for procedures through insurance companies
• Scheduling of diagnostic tests in office and at times at the hospital
• Makes follow up calls to patients with results of diagnostic tests as directed by the Doctor
• Has great communication skills with all staff
• Maintains a clean, safe and orderly environment for patient care.
• Maintains a positive and professional relationship with patients and families, staff and physician at all time.

Pay: $21.00-24.00 an hr DOE
