Position Summary: As a critical member of the Revibe Men’s Health team, the medical assistant is responsible for performing blood draws and injections, preparing patients for examination, verifying patient information, and completing and maintaining patient charts.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform blood pressure checks, blood draws, injections, and other various medical tasks as requested by the physician and manager.
- Communicate lab test results and physician’s recommendations to patients.
- Work with the team to ensure a smooth flow of operation.
- Greet patients with a friendly smile and properly check them in and out.
- Professionally manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls and E-mails.
- Receive and check-in medications.
- Process collected specimens, ensure proper ordering of labs and correct labeling of tubes, and send out for testing.
- Learn the EMR Clinic System and maintain and update patient records.
- Process, handle and deposit cash, check and card payments.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail/packages.
Position Qualifications:
- Desire to learn phlebotomy skills and ability to deliver injections.
- Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or Lab Tech Certification a plus.
- Possesses superb phone skills by delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in computer/tablet use and typing.
- Flexibility to occasional added or altered hours as needed to meet the practice needs.
