In your Medical Assistant role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.

The Medical Assistant provides support to the Occupational Health Nurse by performing duties related to a comprehensive worksite-based health surveillance program, injury and illness prevention, triage and/or treatment, FMLA, workman’s compensation, clerical, wellness programs, and any other health service duties under direction of the Occupational Health Nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide minor first-aid for injuries/illnesses.

  • Conduct Audiometric and Spirometry Testing, and Vision Screening, including Titmus and Snelling Eye Chart testing.

  • Complete mandatory Comprehensive Medical Evaluation Questionnaires and Clearance.

  • Assist with administration of immunizations and Flu Clinics.

  • Perform general office duties; handle and maintain confidential medical records; document employee interactions; review work releases for accuracy; coordinate and document off-site medical clearances for return to work.

  • Calibrate, maintain, and check status of equipment; sterilize small equipment and instruments.

  • Order, organize, and stock medical supplies; maintain clean, uncluttered office and clinic rooms.

  • Stay current on Kimberly Clark Health Services, policies, procedures, and medical practicing licenses and certifications.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification

  • Graduate of an accredited vocational school or equivalent

  • Certification in CPR and First-Aid

  • Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) Certification

  • National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH)-approved spirometry training and certification

  • Occupational health experience preferred
