• Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our primary care clinic team in , Coon Rapids, MN. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by assisting with clinical procedures, obtaining vital signs, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as pelvic exams, ear lavage, and administering medications
• Obtain and record patient's vital signs, health history, and other pertinent information
• Administer vaccinations and flu shots
• Perform 12-lead EKG and TB tests
• Call medications into pharmacies as directed by healthcare providers
• Review lab tests and notify healthcare providers of abnormal results
• Use EPIC and Excellian to maintain accurate medical records

Requirements:

• BLS certification required
• CMA or RMA preferred
• At least 2 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory clinic setting
• Experience with immunizations, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications
• Experience with EPIC and Excellian for documentation purposes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
