ST Equipment & Technology (STET) is the developer of a proprietary separation technology used to process dry powders such as fly ash, mineral ores, food/ feed powders, by triboelectrically charging and separating particles in a strong electric field. STET is a part of Titan America group.
ST Equipment & Technology LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Product Design Engineer at the Needham, MA location. The primary objective is to be responsible for designing and developing new equipment, improving existing equipment design, and providing engineering support to the manufacturing and material process development teams.
Responsibilities
· Conceptualizing and designing new products that meet customer needs and company requirements.
· Developing and improving existing products by analyzing feedback, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing design changes.
· Creating 3D models, drawings, and prototypes of products using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
· Conducting simulations and tests to validate product designs and ensure they meet safety, performance, and reliability standards.
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and business development, to ensure product designs are feasible and can be produced efficiently.
· Conducting research on new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes to incorporate into product designs.
· Preparing technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and bills of materials.
· Providing technical support to manufacturing teams to ensure products are produced to the correct specifications.
· Analyzing and solving technical problems that arise during the product design and manufacturing process.
· Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and standards to ensure product designs comply with relevant requirements.
Qualification and Experience Required:
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product design and manufacturing
· Proficient with SolidWorks CAD tools (3D modeling and drawings)
· Has a good working knowledge and practical experience of design, development or manufacture of mechanical devices.
· Familiarity with basic engineering design guidelines for plastic injection molding, CNC machining and sheet metal forming.
· Design for manufacturing assembly and serviceability.
· Creating budgets and timelines for each project
· Document problems and issues in our bug tracking database and ensure timely resolution.
· Simulation experience using FEA.
· Experience with mechanical design and control systems
· Analyzing and testing existing products to identify areas for improvement.
· Collaborating with other Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers
· Developing and building prototypes to test their function.
· In-depth knowledge of industry design principles
· Sets SMART objectives and monitors progress.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
