Mechanical Lab Technician Job at SFN
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Follow test preparation and testing procedures
- Provide technical support and assistance to engineers
- Maintain and clean laboratory instruments and equipment
- Enter all test data, process data, and customer information into the laboratory database
- Assist in customer machine set-up and qualification
- Set-up of equipment and completion of prototypes as required by customers
- Read and understand written instructions
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance
Qualifications:
- Must be meticulous and able to work independently
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles with ability to work with tools and understand engineering drawings
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- General understanding of math; capable of working with decimals and percentages
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit or stand for long periods of time
- Technical associates degree or related experience in one of the related fields (mechanical technology, machining, testing, mechanics, etc.)

Salary: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
