Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Engineer for JMA Wireless, you will work on a team leading design, development, and enhancement efforts for Wireless/RF Connection and other related products.
As an engineer at JMA you can expect to take a design from the concept phase, own it through the prototype phase, test the design, and ultimately see the final design all the way into production where you see your design being shipped to customers for use in next generation cellular networks.
Responsibilities:
- Leading design, development and enhancement efforts for Wireless/RF products.
- Achieve cost reduction targets on our high-volume Wireless/RF products without sacrificing product quality
- Integral part of new product development teams and work from conception through production
- Product development using SolidWorks software
- Design of plastic and metal mechanical components, assemblies, and electro-mechanical packaging
- Structural and thermal analysis capability utilizing ANSYS and IcePak simulation tools
- Participate in product design reviews
- Prototyping /modeling design
- Create mechanical engineering design specifications
- Testing mechanical and electrical properties to ensure quality and reliability
Requirements:
- Hold a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, RF Engineering or related engineering field
- Have 3+ years of engineering/design experience
- Have familiarity with manufacturing processes including PCB fabrication, sheet metal forming processes, CNC machining, plastic injection molding, plastic and aluminum extrusion processes, die casting and electronic assembly
- Familiarity designing products for a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred
