Job Function:

To develop engineering solutions from concept through detail design, manufacturing, testing, installation and delivery.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to produce and develop design concepts into working engineering solutions.
• Produce manufacturing detail drawings incorporating limits and fits, welding symbols, geometric tolerances and surface finish
• Produce full engineering calculations to support designs
• Produce technical reports and documents
• Ability to specify components/systems based on calculations and relevant practical experience
• Interact with other engineering disciplines.
• Work as part of a design team.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Ability to operate both 2D and 3D design software packages.
• Working knowledge of current design/safety legislation.
• Working knowledge of designing equipment under ISO 9001 or NQA-1 Quality Assurance Programs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience; nuclear or high hazardous remote special purpose machinery design preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 2 years experience with Solidworks and Autodesk Inventor
