Job Summary
Experienced mechanic who can diagnose and repair simple and complex automotive issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks for our client’s vehicles, as well as heavy equipment. The successful candidate will use state-of-the-art computer diagnostic equipment to pinpoint issues and develop a cost-effective solution for each customer. The ideal applicant will have exceptional customer service skills and be willing to spend the necessary time explaining issues to customers and helping them understand their service needs. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with customers to understand their concerns and properly diagnose the issue.
- Produce accurate and itemized work and estimates for customers who request them.
- Spend time explaining the vehicle repair needs to each customer so that they understand what repair are needed.
- Utilize the latest in diagnostic equipment to accurately pinpoint vehicle issues.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and alert customers to issues.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience on heavy equipment including diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 24V electrical systems
- ASE Certification preferred, but not required
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools
- Must have own tools

Working Environments/Physical Activities
- Be willing to be exposed to dirt, grease, dust, noise and other elements
- Ability to bend, move, lift (up to 80lbs) and physically perform duties in the scope of this position
- Ability to climb equipment steps and ladders
- Stand 8 to 12 hours a day
- Devote drive time as necessary to meet on site requirements
