O’Gara Training and Services division is focused on training to enhance personal survivability, provide tactical security training for law enforcement, security, homeland security, and counter terrorism professionals and technical risk mitigation, survivability and security service solutions in complex international environments.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mechanic / Mechanic Assistant is a full-time position and will work as part of a team with a flexible schedule set by Management.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnose and repair simple and complex automotive issues
  • Use hand or power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • ASE certified a plus but not required
BASIC SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be alert and able to respond to situations throughout shift
  • Maintain a professional behavior at all times
  • Lifting, pulling or carrying items weighing approximately 25+ pounds
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner
  • Prefer to have own basic hand tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to handle multiple assignments under extreme time constraints and high stress conditions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • Must have strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Ability to work unsupervised as needed
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends to meet business needs
  • Able to pass a Criminal Background Investigation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
