Meat/Sanitizer/Wrapper Clerk Job at E.W. James & Sons | E.W. James and Sons
Basic Function: Provide excellent customer service by making the packaging look professional, rotating and filling the meat case, and maintaining good hygiene and clean work area.

- Wraps meat.
- Cleans up meat dept.
- Takes care of meat counters.
- Trays up chicken.
- Trays up quick fix.
- Grinds packages ground.
- Rotates meat.
- Checks for out of date or damaged product.
- Follows safety procedures.
- Uses care in handling products.
- Follows security procedures.
- Observes and replaces substandard products.
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the manager.
- Assists on the frontend to help bag and carryout groceries to customers' vehicle.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility:
None.
Work Environment:
The associate is required to work in cool environment handling raw fresh meat. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. Will be using a saw, knife, grinder and slicer regularly.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to treat each customer with respect and in a friendly manner.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed and scheduled.
- Patience in dealing with customers and other individuals.
- Ability to handle required lifting duties.

- Requires the ability to independently perform all of the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
