Materiel Movement (Freight) Supervisor - Rock Island Arsenal Job at Hurricane Consulting Inc

Summary:
Supervise and coordinate administrative and operational functions pertaining to the movement of Government owned cargo/freight by all modes of transportation within CONUS and OCONUS preparing all necessary documentation for movements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day freight operations. Must have at least 5 years of documented supervisory experience in materiel movement shipments. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in personal property inbound and outbound. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all installed product software at the use/operator level and automated data processing policies and procedures as they pertain to assigned equipment, both LIS and installation desktop computers which will allow the contractor to solve and/or contact appropriate technical support to resolve any problem associated with these systems. Must have the ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers. Must have skills in verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
