Position Overview
The Material Master Data Manager is part of a global master data governance team which provides critical support to the business for the creation and maintenance of SAP material master records. This position will be located in Columbus and will report to the Senior Manager, Global Business Services.
Job Responsibilities
Provides SAP material master support for the business in North America in the execution of the MIM or Material Introduction and Maintenance process. This support includes: management of MIM process, providing support to MIM data providers and approvers, conducting MIM process training for business associates, conducting material master data audits, maintaining MIM process documentation, support process improvements, support appropriate BPOs (Business Process Owners) in process improvement, problem solving and data standardization, developing performance metrics, leading business process reviews with EPCD/FPD leadership teams. Supports the business initiatives and projects through the assigned tasks related to Material Master activities.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor’s degree
Strong SAP R/3 experience in master data functions
MS Excel experience at a moderate level
3-5 years business experience in manufacturing/service company
Excellent problem solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills, strong sense of customer service/satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of business processes in material master functions and will have the capability of achieving a broader Business Process Owner role for Hexion’s material master processes.
Ability to work accurately, with time management and organizational skills.
Proactive and ability to anticipate issue.
Ability to work well with others to understand internal customer needs and accomplish common goals.
