Job Summary:
This role is assists with receiving and delivering incoming freight, and handling completion of associated transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Unload and verify received inventory and non-inventory product. Deliver to assigned areas.
  • Assure that correct inventory, labeling, and audit procedures are utilized by accurately recording all
  • Transactions and transfers.
  • Promptly load and unload product. Move materials to and from all locations (internal and external) as requested.
  • Verify all inventory receipts or adjustments and transfer quantities.
  • Utilizes problem solving methods to resolve all inventory discrepancies within the department.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures as specified.
  • Respond efficiently and courteously to both internal and external requests.
  • Rack, organize and maintain accuracy of all warehouse inventory and perform inventory audits (internal & external).
  • Assist Warehouse / Production Material Handlers with racking, unracking, staging product, customer requests (storage rushes/pulls, individual mail), and load future shipments when requested.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing approved safety equipment and prescribed safety procedures.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections. Fills out maintenance requests when equipment is not working properly.
  • Reports damage done to product or building structure while operating equipment to a supervisor.
  • Operates sit-down forklift, riding pallet jack and clamp truck
  • Reports damage caused by carrier to purchasing supervisor
  • Manages all returns and coordinates delivery to specified areas for re-packaging
  • Contacting dispatchers and scheduling deliveries with trucking companies.
  • Lifts up to 45-pound boxes frequently. Team lift at higher weights.
  • Communicates to Supervisor and/or MFG Facilitator to address any work area concerns.
  • Works rotating shifts and overtime as scheduled and/or required to meet business timelines.
  • Follows all Safety and Quality protocols and adheres to ISO 9001; 14001, 6S standards and Lean processes.
  • Maintains an effective working relationship and communication with fellow employees, including temporary associates, by adhering to Koozie Group’s policies in all activities and through promoting Koozie Group’s People Powers and Respect in the Workplace.
  • Visually inspects product to complete required quality checks
  • Reach, bend, twist, push, pull, grasp and stand for extended periods of time as well as freely move about the facility as needed for the position.
  • Reads and follows all Manufacturing Order (MOs) directions.
  • Supports teamwork and process improvements through active participation in meetings and helping team ideas work.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected.
  • Wraps, bands, tags and/or moves skids of product.
  • All other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience in a Receiving position
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Great computer skills, including efficient with Microsoft Office
  • Previous work as a receiving operator in a production and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
