Material Handler (m/f/d)

As a Material Handler you will be responsible to maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording the location of inventory, and locating materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders while maintaining in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. You will also document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units and receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
Responsibilities:
- Loads and unload trucks, safely, and move product components using overhead crane systems, forklift vehicles, pallet jacks, and other similar material handling systems.
- Picks, accurately and quickly, components from warehouse storage according to written work orders, following First In-First Out (FIFO) method.
- Keeps accurate written records of component movements and consumption.
- Uses computer to enter and retrieve information.
- Performs receiving inspection and verification.
- Participates in Inventory cycle count program and report material stocking discrepancies.
- Conduct safety inspections of material handling equipment and report status.
- Assists production operators and other duties, as assigned by supervisor.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
Requirements:
- Ability to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed: organization, scheduling, analyzing information, dealing with Complexity, deadline-oriented, time management, process improvement, safety management, inventory control, lifting, data entry skills.
- High school diploma
- 2-5 years experience as a forklift operator in an industrial or warehouse environment
