We are currently seeking a Material Handler who will be responsible for moving inventory and production supplies safely from the warehouse to the production floor, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of materials, ensuring accurate completion of every order.


Responsibilities
:
  • Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records; examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify; completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
  • Prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging, crating and banding; prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
  • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
  • Participates in counting and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks; delivers and returns items.
  • Pull parts for the line and pull it to the line.
  • Participates in 5S activities within the warehouse and outside storage areas.
  • Performs cycle counts of inventory and non-inventory items as requested utilizing hand counts or weight counts.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Credentials and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Candidates should have at least 1+ year experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Must have strong forklift operator experience.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and collaborate with others.
  • Self-motivated; able to work with minimal direction
  • Anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions.

The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds on a limited basis and up to 40lbs occasionally. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
