Responsibilities:

Transports material, supplies, and product to designated areas using material handling equipment.

Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to move materials or containers.

Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, shelves, etc.

Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area using hand truck, forklift, or other device.

Using a hydrometer and a voltmeter, each battery's voltage and gravity is checked.

Works with computer to assess the proper charging of groups of batteries.

Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

Wraps completed groups of batteries.

Completes inventory sheet at end of shift.

Inspects and cleans electric truck.

Is responsible for efficiency in keeping operators supplied with materials and maintaining a safe driving record.

Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.

Performs other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

Basic Reading Skills (must be able to read and interpret 1st piece inspection)

Basic Math Skills (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying)

Basic Computer Skills (ability to interact with computer screens)

Ability to maintain regular attendance

Ability to communicate with co-workers
