SUMMARY: Performs a variety of duties involving handling and movement of material. Driving company owned vehicles including forklifts. Packaging, unpacking and preparation of materials being received, shipped to/from customers/vendors, as well as stockroom activities. Skilled in the use of software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handles receipt or delivery of materials throughout the Company
• Loads and unloads vehicle inbound and outbound
• Drives Company vehicles intra-plant, in addition to making deliveries and pickups at vendors/customers
• Material handling is the primary function; however, when those tasks are fulfilled performs tasks in other Material Services classifications
• Must be able to use specialized packaging equipment (paper machine, form-in-place, heat seal, etc.)
• Update Material Services databases
• Ability to use Telephonics' approved camera to photograph packaging
• Adheres to Telephonics' 5-S initiative
• Clean Driver's License
• Security clearance may be required

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCES: Prior shipping & packaging to mil-specs and stock room experience required. Good handwriting and computer skills are essential and a valid NYS Driver's License. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and over 50 lbs. with assistance.
