The LFS Group is looking for a Master Plumber!
Working in a commercial/residential environment handling the various duties that go along with commercial plumbing work. Candidates will be responsible for the installation and testing of new systems along with the associated hardware. The ability to follow blueprints/technical diagrams to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems is essential. Candidates need to have the general understanding of drains, vents and waste.
Candidate should always be safety-minded with at least 5-10 years of plumbing experience. We have long-term work available for the right candidate in a variety of positions. Applicants should have commercial plumbing experience and access to reliable transportation. The ideal candidate can work with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with the construction/plumbing industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
- Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks in preparation for inspection.
- Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.
- Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.
- Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines, such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
- Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes or pipe fittings, using hand or power tools.
- Break up and remove concrete and dirt, to lay pipe.
- Anchor steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.
- Maintain or repair plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing, or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
- Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
- Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.
- Install “green” plumbing equipment, such as faucet flow restrictors, dual-flush or pressure-assisted flush toilets, or tankless hot water heaters.
- Keep records of work assignments.
- Estimate time, material, or labor costs for use in project plans.
- Inspect structures to assess material or equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, or to plan installation around obstructions, such as electrical wiring.
- Must be able to drive and maintain a clean driving record.
- Oversee and work directly with apprentice(s)
Skills/Requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Be able to climb, push, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
- Be able to lift up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation (example: a microwave)
- Strong Work Ethic: you are punctual and reliable in terms of attendance; you accurately report your time, and you are comfortable working without a manager monitoring your day-to-day activities
- Flexibility: you can adapt to changing situations, new tasks and priorities as changes occur; you will encounter challenges and resolve them
- Customer Focus: when you are in the stores with our customers, deliver service that exceeds their expectations
- Attention to Detail: checking the plans and ensuring each task is completed correctly before moving on to the next is very important
- Communication: you will be working closely with the Project Manager; it is extremely important to communicate regularly; good communication is essential for this position
- Positive Attitude: Attitude is everything, you have probably heard this before and it is as true here in retail as it is anywhere. A good attitude will make a big difference.
Must have a Smartphone! Can be iOS or Android--doesn't matter. We Only use Electronic Timesheets to record hours worked and a smartphone is necessary for each employee to utilize our App, send messages and answer any checkout questions required before clocking out at the end of the shift.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
