Master Planner Position – USAR 99thReadiness Division
The candidate shall provide Master Planning support by interpreting and applying technical guidance published by the Department of the Army, United States Army Corps of Engineers, and the United Sates Army Reserve. The candidate should have a planning background obtained through either education or work experience. As part of their routine job duties, the candidate will be asked to coordinate with senior Department of the Army Civilians and Senior Military Leaders, so having familiarity with military structure and protocols is a plus.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and update the organization’s Real Property Master Plan in order to synchronize its long-range planning goals with newly developed initiatives that enhance mission readiness.
- Plan, develop, and review military construction (MILCON) projects of significant complexity and scope.
- Analyze and interpret space authorizations and requirements for existing and future unit stationing actions.
- Coordinate planning projects with USAR stakeholders, state agencies, & federal agencies to accomplish milestones and goals relating to MILCON projects.
- Conduct site visits to inspect facility conditions and to adjust plans and projects to reflect ground truth.
- Attend planning workshops and events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience in Military planning, Master Planning, Community Planning, Urban & Regional planning, Land Use Planning, Environmental Planning, Infrastructure Planning, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must have clean criminal and financial background, you will have to pass a background and drug test.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Military experience a plus.
- Knowledge of USAR policy directives, Army Reserve component missions, units, and organizations and capabilities a plus.
- Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or CAD software a plus.
- Working knowledge of PAX, ASIP, RCAS, FMSWEB and RPLANS systems a plus.
- Ability to brief senior leaders and stakeholders a plus.
- Construction management experience and the ability to read technical drawing and blueprints a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
