Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Position Purpose : The Marketing Specialist will be integral to SMS’ continued success and vision to empower healthcare decisions. As a Marketing Specialist with SMS, you will partner with the Sr. Marketing Specialist to collaborate and provide innovative, high-quality work that is aligned with the marketing priorities of the SMS business. In this role, you will gain invaluable experience across consumer, healthcare, and corporate marketing and branding through partnership with the SMS Marketing and SCA Health Enterprise Marketing teams. This specialist role works alongside the Sr. Marketing Specialist to collaborate and receive direction/and or assignments. Partnering with the Client Success teams along with SMS management, will own all CM marketing digital engagement programs across multiple channels, including but not limited to, client specific/assigned email programs, graphic, and information design that leverage your strong writing skills for concise content that advances SMS’ value proposition, and increases engagement across the participating members of the SMS benefit solution.

Roles and Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing and collaborating daily with the Sr. Marketing Specialist, this role is responsible for the following:
- Support and assist in creation and development of assigned SMS Client Management Success campaigns.
- Work with key stakeholders across all SMS cross-functional teams, and business partners: SCA, UHC/Optum, as well as legal/brand to secure necessary reviews/edits/approvals.
- Provide coordination and trafficking of assigned marketing/digital programs and manage asset deliverables across approved and assigned SMS marketing priorities.
- Partner with SMS Marketing teammates, business partners, and or vendors (if applicable) to ensure development, production, and execution of all SMS marketing activities.
- Provide editorial support and content proofing/copyediting and packaging requirements of CM campaigns prior to release and deployment of campaigns.
- Conduct reporting and monitoring needs of marketing performance and ROI.
- Establish competitive and market research analysis and reporting across SMS CM and target campaigns or pilots.
- Assist and apply edits and or revisions to assigned SMS Social and online projects that support brand awareness, and engagement across SMS website, social media accounts (includes copy and graphics support)
Necessary skills and abilities
:
- Proven work experience as a marketing coordinator or assistant in customer success or marketing team environment
- Highly organized, and detail oriented with strong time management skills, leading with a customer-oriented service approach working across internal/external clients
- Effective listening, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication, including writing and editing capabilities
- Ability to work independently and successfully within a matrix team environment
- Knowledgeable of marketing principles and up to date on latest marketing trends and best practices in multi-channel engagement concepts
- Ability to multitask and perform in a deadline-sensitive environment
- Ability to make contributions and establish effective working relationships with core leadership, management, teammates, and peers to positively impact SMS marketing goals
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of marketing development/administrative and support experience is required
- Associate or bachelor’s (preferred) degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience preferred working in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and with design knowledge and experience working within Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Knowledgeable and some experience with project management software, marketing automation and CRM software desired (ASANA, Wrike, Basecamp, Salesforce, Salescloud, Dynamo, Pardot, Campaign Monitor, WordPress, etc.)
- General understanding of website analytics and measurement tools (Google analytics a plus)
