Description:

Employee must be located within about a three hour vicinity of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Position can be mostly remote but will require some attendance at the Forney and Kaufman locations throughout the year.

Coordinate and implement strategic marketing process for the credit union. Ensure all collateral is consistent, member-focused, and correct; is in the same tone and voice; and speaks to the credit union’s core values and member value proposition. Manage digital and print media, including website and social media outlets. Manage relationship with outside marketing agency.

Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with leadership and external agency to create and articulate a strategic marketing vision for the credit union.
  • Define design and branding goals with executive team. Oversee design team to produce (through partner agency) print and online ads, flyers, posters, banners, web graphics, and other collateral materials.
  • Ensure the brand objectives are continually met or exceeded. Strategically drive marketing campaigns and oversee brand consistency across all credit union communications.
  • Keep primary focus on increasing membership, loyalty, and brand recognition.
  • Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
  • Collect and analyze data on member demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product/service demand.
  • Perform regular analysis and reports on member trends including attrition, growth, and product penetration.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies; analyze results.
  • Perform analysis of website traffic.
  • Gather data on competitors and analyze pricing, products, sales, and marketing approach.
  • Develop and implement procedures for identifying the next best product for members.
  • Assist with business development activities including attending/hosting student-run branches, facilitating financial wellness seminars, and serving on a local community board.
  • Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing and media relations plans.
  • Create and direct strategic marketing plans for the credit union, including print, web, social media, and other electronic methods.
  • Serve as social media expert for RelyOn Credit Union; place posts and monitor responses; reply as appropriate.
  • Monitor emerging technologies in marketing and communications.
  • Serve as the credit union’s back-up publicist and media contact.
  • Craft annual communications calendar for regular e-newsletters, blog, and social media posts.
Requirements:

Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations.
  • Three to five years’ experience in marketing or related field.
  • Marketing experience in banking, retail, restaurant, and/or real estate strongly preferred.
  • Experience with marketing strategy, graphic design, event promotion, digital marketing, content creation, and leadership.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, WordPress, and MailChimp.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and website management.
  • Experience managing marketing design and production.
  • Superior analytical and research skills; the ability to make decisions and manage course corrections as necessary required.
  • Superior time management, attention to detail, and follow-up skills are a must.
  • Patience, tact, and the ability to build rapport throughout the organization; high emotional intelligence and the art of persuasion required.
  • Ability to work off-hours with occasional evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
