Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Engagement Specialist is responsible for Grand View's outreach initiatives, including health education programs, classes, special events, sponsorships and physician referral service, in response to the needs of our service area and the health system's strategic goals. The Marketing Engagement Specialist supports Grand View's clinical educators by providing marketing assistance and coordination and implementation of programs to ensure relevance and engagement. The Marketing Engagement Specialist supports the recommendations as found in the Community Needs Assessment and integrates those findings in the classes and programs we schedule.

Essentials Functions:
  • Responsible for enhancing brand awareness and preference for Grand View Health through community and employee engagement.
  • Represent Grand View Health at community meetings, outreach events and the Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership (BCHIP) on matters of health and wellness. Coordinate Grand View's support of health initiatives, including smoking cessation, domestic violence, breast cancer prevention and flu shot programs, among others.
  • Collaborate with Grand View Health physicians, educational clinicians and service lines to create classes and programs for the community. Coordinate technical and facility arrangements and develop marketing plans to drive participation. Partner with social media specialist and vendors to ensure functionality of online class enrollment service and payment system.
  • Create content to promote events for employees and the community for Health View magazine, Grand View websites, digital display and social media.
  • Write copy and develop marketing materials for internal and external audiences related to events, contests, sponsorships and recognition events. Tactics include flyers, email, print ads, digital displays, social media posts and other communication as necessary.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Community Health, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
  • Over 1 to 3 years of public relations, social media or community outreach experience preferred.
  • Desktop publishing experience preferred.
