Summary

The Copywriter is responsible for the development of internal and external content supporting the overall perception and promotion of the OneAZ Credit Union brand. Collaborating with a variety of marketing professionals, including executives, managers, designers, and digital marketers, the Copywriter will partner across the organization to capture the tone of the OneAZ brand.

Essential Functions
  • Partner with Communications & Content Manager to execute OneAZ’s Corporate Communications including marketing, advertising, public relations, and internal communications.
  • Partner with the marketing communication team to develop marketing content for the OneAZ brand across all communications, including:
  • News, featured content, website content, and blogs
  • Social, community, and charitable foundation content
  • Email drip campaigns and prescreens
  • Talking points and scripts
  • Digital campaigns including Google Search Ads, YouTube headlines and descriptions, and supporting digital content
  • Public relations, press releases, media pitches, and annual report
  • Member-facing talking points, speeches, and anticipatory questions and answers
  • Develop content for the Financial Literacy Guide, providing education channels to OneAZ prospects and members
  • Partner with influencers and internal brand ambassadors to connect with marketplace through compelling content
  • Influence our external awards and recognition to reinforce credibility and enable storytelling.
  • Oversee content project deadlines and communicate timelines to the marketing team.
  • Manage multiple projects and initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Partner with content and social media internal and external stakeholders, while guiding and reporting on progress and results.
  • Contribute to strategic content calendar while developing the right mix of practical communication channels to members, prospects, associates, and community partners.

Education
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in a marketing, communications, journalism, or business-related field required.


Experience
  • 5 to 8 years of similar or related experience. communications or journalism/writing experience Preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated creativity in writing and in ideas for delivery of content across medium and target audiences
  • Experience with fast-paced digital teams in environments requiring responsiveness, flexibility, and adapting to changing requirements, and frequently preparing material within a short timeframe
  • Experience working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement communication programs
  • Ability to understand the needs and interests of different target audiences
  • Note: Writing samples/portfolios may be required
  • Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complex financial topics in a simple and clear manner to varied audiences
