Cardinal Cushing Centers (CCC) is a nonprofit organization with locations in Hanover and Braintree, MA that supports students and adults with intellectual disabilities with the goal of improving the quality of life for each individual and helping them to become independent, productive, members of society.
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator executes external communication and marketing functions, and some internal communications, for the organization. The M&C Coordinator implements Cardinal Cushing Centers’ strategic marketing, communications, and branding efforts to further establish the organization as a leader in disability service.
The position reports to the Director of Development and is a full-time, 40 hour/week position. The M&C Coordinator is expected to work evening and weekends when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
· In conjunction with the Director of Development, manages all external communications that relate to both fund-raising initiatives as well as non-fundraising news and information. These include but are not limited to the annual report, the bi-annual Cushing Connector, the Cushing Community e-newsletter, and the organization’s website.
· Manages and monitors all social media platforms for the organization.
· Develops relationships with local press outlets; creates and submits all press releases and news pitches.
· Drives the re-design and continued updating of the agency website, including migration of all programmatic content from each department. Develops a comprehensive schedule segmented by content needed from each department.
· Ensures the Development Team is proactively seeking recognition opportunities for the organization (Top Women Led businesses, etc.) on an ongoing basis.
· Identifies opportunities for marketing/promoting the organization via social media, print publications or broadcast channels to maximize presence in community and promote stories.
· Conducts ongoing audits of marketing needs for each department and develops specific plans and goals with measurable benchmarks and timelines for each department to provide content.
· Conducts regular site visits to CCC’s programs to ensure marketing needs are met and success stories are shared on a regular basis. Drives content for organization marketing materials including but not limited to brochures, flyers, folders, e-billboards, ads, signage, logos, merchandise, postcards and tradeshow displays.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree required
· 3 -5 years’ experience in Development or Non-Profit Organizations
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word applications and Adobe Creative Suite
· Aptitude for learning 3rd party software programs that support web development, fundraising & events.
· Knowledge of major and emerging social media platforms.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
· Strong customer service orientation and follow-up skills
· Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as the ability to work with multiple teams
· Flexible, adaptable, reliable, and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
· Strong organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
