Summary of Position:
The primary function of the Marketing Assistant is to assist and support the marketing department with organizing campaigns and developing marketing strategies to improve the position of the company and its services. This role will assist the marketing department with attaining the goals of the department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support marketing executives with various projects
- Implement marketing analytics techniques to gather data (i.e., web analytics, social media and rankings)
- Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories
- Prepare presentations and marketing information
- Collaborate with marketing executives to create ways for continued exposure
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials
- Provide administrative assistance to the marketing team
- Promotional Flyers: Work with purchasing and sales to organize monthly promotions. Support sales efforts with marketing materials for key product lines and create customer-specific marketing material.
- Graphic Design: Design promotional and product flyers, website banners, digital content, and product catalogs.
- Develop creative and unique methods of introducing new product lines.
- Vendor Co-op: Coordinate with vendors on advertising programs and support. Submit vendor advertising invoices and follow up with receipt.
- Website Updates: Maintain and update product assortment on the website, update homepage with featured products and banners.
- Product Images: Take product images when necessary.
- Sales Requests: Assist the sales team with various requests – logo updates, vector files, print materials.
- Social Media: Manage and update social media accounts regularly with curated, relevant content.
- Keen attention to detail is required.

- Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactive
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- At least 2 years of work experience
- Graphic design experience using Adobe creative suite software
- Strong Microsoft office skills
- Knowledge of building materials and experience in the construction industry is preferred
- Technical writing skills and experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Well organized and attention to detail is a must
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in stationary position 70%
- Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to operate basic office machinery
- Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Constantly working in office environment

- Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks
- Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to receive and analyze marketing and sales information
- Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur
