Marketing Assistant Job at TDC Management
Marketing Assistants are the face of our on and off-campus marketing efforts. The primary role of a Marketing Assistant is to support the property’s marketing efforts, including:
- Speaking with students on and off-campus about leasing opportunities and upcoming events
- Distributing promotional materials and giveaways on-campus and at off-campus venues
- Regular posts on all social media accounts reflecting the property’s current marketing initiatives
- Representing the property at on and off-campus marketing events
- Supporting the Leasing Manager’s efforts to identify new marketing opportunities
- Working with the Marketing Coordinator to finalize orders for marketing collaterals and promotional materials
- Maintaining a high energy and professional demeanor when interacting with prospects and partners
Once the property is operational, Marketing Assistants will support the Leasing Manager’s efforts to plan and execute on-site events and market renewal opportunities among current residents. These tasks involve:
- Event planning with the property’s Leasing Manager and Marketing Coordinator
- Developing plans for social, print, and in-person advertising efforts to promote property events and campaigns
- Assist in rollout of renewal campaigns, including print collateral, social media posts, and property events
- Ongoing efforts to update on and off-campus locations for geotargeted ads and property-specific filters
- Planning efforts for large annual marketing opportunities, like on-campus housing fairs
As part of the on-site management team, it is imperative that Marketing Assistants are familiar with the company’s policies and procedures, as well as industry trainings to ensure consistent compliance at the property level. This includes administrative tasks covering:
- Online coursework on fair housing, customer service, and company policies
- Participation in seasonal team events, including turn and quarterly unit inspections
- Participation in regular audits of lease files, resident legers, and property reports
- Ongoing communications with the Leasing Manager and Marketing Coordinator regarding marketing opportunities

Future Community Assistants should have the following qualifications:
- Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate program
- Experience being part of a team and successfully meeting goals
- Social media-savvy with an eye for design and branding
- Willingness to work nights and weekends on an agreed upon schedule
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written communication skills with a focus on customer service and sales
