Job Description:
We are looking to hire Farmers Market Sales Associates for the the summer season! This job is a full or part-time seasonal position which runs through October and in some cases into November. The farmers market dates and locations vary. If hired, the person filling this position will be assigned a set schedule and market location(s) starting immediately and running through October/November.
The right candidate will be professional, able to engage with customers, and be friendly while promoting the company and informing customers about our products. That person will also be expected to become familiarized with the ingredients of the products, their sourcing and the overall concepts of how the food is produced. Knowledge of serving and cooking food is essential since this is a gourmet food sales position.
This position involves working outdoors - rain or shine. The right candidate will be strong, able to lift 60 lbs. and push large freezers and coolers, and other farmers market equipment (pop-up tent, table, generator, tent weights, etc.) into a company van and drive it to the farmers market location you are assigned. Must be comfortable and competent driving a cargo van - parallel parking, tight-space parking garages, backing onto a loading dock ramp, etc.

Experience:
- Sales experience preferred
- Interest and passion for the local food movement
- Sales, marketing, and food experience is preferred
Requirements:
- Must be 18+
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to stand for 7+ hours
- Ability to lift 60lbs.
