Marine Project Manager
Summary
To effectively and efficiently manage repair and refit projects by addressing client needs, coordinating resources, developing and meeting budgets and delivering in a quality and timely manner. Must have the potential for advancement.
Specifics are as follows:
- Meet with customers to clarify project scope, requirements, budget, deliverables and timetable
- Defines project tasks and measures performance using appropriate tools, techniques and spreadsheets
- Communicates regularly with the customer and appropriate management on the status of the project
- Identifies any project risk and develops contingency plans
- Coordinates both internal and external resources to ensure project meets quality standards, is within budget, adheres to regulatory requirements and is on time
- Reviews all billing and invoices for accuracy
- Perform other work as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Shipyard project management experience with proven results
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material management
- Familiar with quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements
- Strong time management, organizational and process improvement skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be a leader, team player and represent the company in high regard
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of boat construction, materials, methods, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, diesel, joinery, metal, yacht rigging.
Knowledge of current status of costs, escalation factors and market trends.
Skill in reading and interpreting plans and specifications and comparing them with project in progress.
Skill in construction inspection and supervisory practices.
Special Requirements:
- Limited travel required
- Proof of COVID Vaccine
- OSHA certified preferred
Environmental Conditions:
- Typical shipyard conditions
- Ability to board moored vessels and vessels on the hard

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
