Job Description


Role purpose

This role will lead the digital technology transformation – site strategy development, capital project design and implementation, and process control network / automation continuous improvement

Accountabilities

  • Site strategy development for the integration of new and updated platform / application technologies includes a 3-year plan for LAN / OT network, PLC, SCADA, cybersecurity, mobile device – Wi-Fi, data analytics, MES, WMS, LIMS, and CMMS to drive safety, production agility, quality, and efficiency improvements for the high-volume formulation and packaging processes.
  • Capital project management includes design, costing, procurement, scheduling, installation, start-up coordination, and post review of projects from $100K to $1MM.
  • All new and revised implementations will be designed in accordance with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices.
  • Continuous improvement includes formal Operational Excellence processes as well as informal daily process troubleshooting support of the process control network and various applications to ensure the efficient capturing and managing of required data within the manufacturing environment and making this information available for process optimization.
  • This role will partner with IT and maintenance support to ensure the integrity and reliability of the process and business networks.

Qualifications


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree – in an Engineering Discipline – Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical. Computer, etc
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in design and development of digital engineering solutions in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge in the engineering and development of integrated systems for manufacturing systems, systems maintenance/management, and digital engineering best practices in the chemical industry
  • Demonstrated digital project management skills from concept through post implementation review.
  • Trouble- shooting and problem-solving skills driving to root cause.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with Rockwell Automation is a plus.
