OVERVIEW

The Manufacturing Specialist/Engineer will be responsible for increasing revenues and improving profitability through their leadership and expertise in Manufacturing Engineering, Cost Reduction, and Project Management.

The ideal candidate is a local resident who is looking to be a part of a company with proven stability and ongoing reinvestment for growth for our Monongahela, PA factory. The final role title will be based on education and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Be an active member of a Production Efficiency Team seeking to identify, develop, and implement cost reduction opportunities throughout the factory and product lines.
• Be a project management professional, planning, scheduling, and leading all projects to successful completion in the shortest possible time, at the lowest possible cost, and always on time, and at or below budget.
• Become the resident expert in Manufacturing Engineering techniques and principles related to equipment, products, and processes under his/her responsibility.
• Monitor and analyze production cost data to prioritize Efficiency Team efforts to significantly reduce and control costs, increase production efficiencies (parts per hour), and increase throughput.
• Champion the use of automation through the integration of new technologies.
• Be an expert in solids modeling (SM), utilizing SM techniques in all machinery and process documentation, including advanced techniques such as animation, and 3-D models.
• Be the technical expert for all equipment utilized in their area of responsibility.
• Identify all critical to quality (CTQ) processes and parameters and provide procedures, sign offs, product documentation, and training to production operators.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Experience with Project Management and Prioritization
• Solids Modeling
• Sheet metal and/or metal fabrication experience a plus
• MS Office proficient, especially Excel

EDUCATION

• Role requires a level of specialized knowledge that is typically achieved through completing a four-year degree in Engineering or extensive OJT of similar duties.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred or 3-5 years of OJT that provided the level of professionalism needed to complete these specialized tasks.
• Training in Solids Modeling, Inventor or Revit preferred.
