Modine Manufacturing Company is hiring for a Manufacturing Program Manager to support operations in our plants in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Laredo, Texas, and Jefferson City, Missouri.
What Will You Do?
You will manage main manufacturing programs to ensure that both internal and external customer expectations are met regarding cost, timing and quality. You will report to the Regional Manufacturing Engineering Director. This position is open to remote candidates that are living in the Midwest United States. There will be roughly up to 30% travel to Modine plants in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Laredo Texas, and Jefferson City, Missouri and other relevant locations.

What Will You Do?

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and planned program launches as well as program or product transfers within and potentially across regions.
- Conduct business case development for potential new programs.
- Promote execution across multiple factories concerning long term strategic programs to transform the Air-Cooled Applications footprint
- Manage program model launches for awarded business.
- Control and manage program funding and maintenance of ongoing programs.
- Lead program activities with different teams which may include manufacturing engineering, sales, application engineering, procurement, quality, costing, operations and other disciplines.
- Assignments may include programs with:
- High level of risk
- Significant annual sales revenue
- Significant annual volume
- High degree of complexity
- Significant capital/tooling investment.
- Other programs with important customers may also be assigned at the discretion of management.
- You may have intermittent management responsibilities, depending on the program. However, the incumbent must direct the activities of others, both internal and external to the company, to support programs without reporting authority also.
- Work with different customer functions, including purchasing, engineering, and quality.
- Facilitate the APQP process by following SP2-7 and using our current APQP tools for phases 2 through 5 of the APQP process. Typically, a Program Manager (PM) is assigned at the beginning of phase 2. This includes the development of a timing plan, to be communicated both internally and externally. The PM would monitor progress against the plan and the original business case and take actions to assure a successful program launch.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in program management as it relates to engineering projects.
- as well as abilities in team leadership, conflict resolution, and quality planning.
- A working knowledge of quality systems (ISO-9000 or TS-16949) and APQP program launch disciplines required.
- Experience with program management software, such as Microsoft Project or similar is required.
