Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated individual with strong communication, leadership, and operational skills to fill a Manufacturing Operator Lead role. This individual should understand and implement processes as defined in standard operating procedures with limited supervision or guidance. A self-motivated individual with strong communication and operational skills to perform daily functions. Candidate would work independently, with team, and would be flexible to travel.

How Will You Make an Impact?

In your role as you will be responsible for collecting media for cell culture which is used in the pharmaceutical industry.

Attention to detail and ability to follow collection processes according to SOP's will ensure that our customers receive quality product.

Key Objectives

  • Perform responsibilities in production facility.
  • Maintain good rapport with production facility team.
  • Facilitate communication between team and Thermo Fisher ‘s Supervisor/Management.
  • Train others on procedures, collaboration, led by example, exemplify positive behavior, etc.
  • Ensure team is following Thermo Fisher and the plant’s food/safety practices.
  • Ensure team is following SOP’s, forms, and work instructions.
  • Support and initiate quality, safety, compliance improvement initiatives.
  • Find opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Support the team by helping to set up work area prior to shift start and perform clean up duties throughout shift.
  • Complete daily & weekly production paperwork.
  • Manage inventory supplies.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience with proven leadership capabilities is required.
  • Experience as a lead supervising a small team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be flexible with schedule (OT & Weekends)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs
  • Must have HS Diploma/GED
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is required in performing all functions of this position
  • Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

COVID vaccination for this role is highly recommended but not mandated. Employees may be required to wear masks, depending on requirements of the business and public health requirements based on the spread of COVID in the community.
