Position Summary:
Acts as the technical Leader for all manufacturing engineering initiatives in the production unit.

Position Requirements:
1. Participate in the achievement of goals for the production unit relative to key Quality Operating System metrics; including gross margins, scrap, labor efficiency, safety, equipment utilization (OE), on-time delivery, training, inventories, overtime costs, customer satisfaction, and expense spending.
2. Coordinate all technical activies for assigned production unit.
3. Monitor, coordinate and track all maintenance items.
4. Coordinate all technical changes for assigned production unit – process Engineering Change Notice (ECR) or issue deviation.
5. Coordinate all improvement and corrective action activities – process emphasis.
6. Coordinate all new launch items for assigned line.
7. Coordinate process driven drawing changes.
8. Approve all work practices – MWI’s.
9. Serve as a guide and mentor for the Engineering group.
10. Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.
11. Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and values of SSI Technologies, Inc. which includes following the polices, procedures, and requirements of the of our Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
12. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:
1. Bachelor's Degree (engineering preferred); if no degree, 10 years of relevant work experience. Required.
2. 1-5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering within a production environment, preferred.
3. Ideal candidate will have automotive production experience.
4. Proven track record of accomplishments in the areas of Continuous Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), product launches, capital equipment purchases and corrective action. Preferred
5. Experience in wirebonding processing, equipment programming, die bonding and sensor calibration preferred.
6. PLC/LabView knowledge, preferred.
7. Hands on knowledge of stats, preferred.
