Manufacturing Engineer Job at Neptune Technology Group Inc.
The Manufacturing Engineer designs, develops, and evaluates equipment, tooling, and test systems to optimize production and quality assurance of industrial and consumer goods. This individual oversees the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment. He/she analyzes products and production systems and applies lean manufacturing principles in order to achieve continuous improvement and reduce waste. The Manufacturing Engineer performs work measurement for the establishment of standards and supports the development and introduction of new products.
Objectives
- Work with senior engineers to design and/or acquire necessary manufacturing, tooling, test or inspection equipment for the optimum production of industrial and consumer goods.
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques in order to optimize manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
- Determine, recommend, and implement approved equipment upgrades.
- Provide technical information and assistance in maintaining production machines and equipment.
- Assist and help train production personnel in the operation and proper care of machines, test equipment, and other inspection devices.
- Assist other engineers with process improvements, layout changes, new product implementations and quality improvement projects.
- Assist in maintaining ISO quality standards plant-wide.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Experience: 0-3 years experience. Specific skills and experience in addition to those listed above may be required for specific positions.
