Job Summary: The Managing Director is responsible for maintaining successful company operations through strategy implementation and by fostering business relationships. They will oversee all operational policies, processes, objectives, and initiatives for facilities in their assigned region. This role will oversee Directors of Manufacturing at each facility to ensure the efficient use of company resources and that each facility is operating according to budget, company goals, and objectives. This position reports directly to the EVP of Operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee respective plant and production workflow.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to DM.
  • Partners with HR and DMs to recruit, interview, hire, and train new employees.
  • Handles discipline and termination of direct reports in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage operations for assigned facilities.
  • Ensure that cross leveling and capacity balancing are taking place.
  • Addresses bottleneck issues throughout the facilities.
  • Manages facility performance metrics with DM and other company teams and addresses areas needing improvement.
  • Manages CapEx plans relating to respective facilities.
  • Manages budgets for respective facilities.
  • Analyzes and resolves production issues and assists managers in solving problems.
  • Provides leadership to manufacturing personnel to enhance high performance work teams and promotes a positive employee relations climate.
  • Develops business plans and strategies that are in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Advise DMs on strategic issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on company’s business and performance to executive management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; metal manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of all manufacturing operations, techniques, and related equipment.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities effectively communicate.
  • Strong knowledge of process management and improvement in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of production and scheduling operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting with some lifting, bending, and twisting.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stoop, bend or kneel when required.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
