TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER - Skin Care
The Technical Services Manager deals primarily with Interfacing with Skin care customer on a technical level. Responsible for all areas of technical responses both verbal and written as required by the customer. Assist in the coordination of the activities of the Technical Service Applications Department in order to meet the primary objective of providing superior products and service to our customers. Is a strong resource to the Director of Technical Services, with additional support required into the Director of Sales, Director of Marketing and the General Manager. Involved with the design of prototypes that demonstrate the specifications and requirements of our customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Plan, design and supervise projects and technical activities for the Sensient Cosmetic Technologies US cosmetic business. Coordinate and control cross-communications, projects and ideas with Sensient’s Application and Development teams around the world
Assist in the development of new, innovative products and product concepts and coordinate searches for new raw materials.
Assist field sales, customers and prospects by providing technical solutions as requested. Assist field sales through joint visits to accounts and prospects with Account representatives.
Stay current of evolving trends in colors and skin care products and ideas in the cosmetic industry.
In coordination with the Marketing Department, present technical seminars and speak at local and national association meetings and publish these speeches when practical. Maintain active attendance at local and regional cosmetic events and symposia.
Respond to and resolve customer complaints relating to technical aspects of cosmetic product formulation. Help guide customers in the best use of Sensient’s broad cosmetic ingredient portfolio
Help develop product formulation prototypes with Sensient ingredients for strategic commercial documents and presentations.
OTHER FUNCTIONS :
Coordinate and collate customer and prospect samples, usage information, specifications and other technical data.
EDUCATION :
College graduate with degree in chemistry or related science; courses related to business and marketing would be helpful.
EXPERIENCE :
Minimum five years technical experience in the cosmetic industry with a strong understanding of finished formulations in skin care. Must have a suitable industry presence to present a credible authority to our customer, employees and the broader cosmetic industry.
