Position Summary:
The Security Compliance Manager is designated with the oversight for all regulatory, accreditation and compliance requirements for the Security department members. This person will partner with Security Managers to establish key metrics and reporting of compliance measures.
- Coordinate and validate compliance of all security members with regulatory, accreditation and Security department requirements.
- Track, measure and report on compliance requirements and key performance indicators.
- Evaluate the competencies of staff members. This includes ensuring defined training/processes are in place for all Security members to maintain defined levels of performance, appropriate licenses and certifications.
- Ensure compliance is properly achieved and documented through the inspection of compliance folders for each Security team member. Ensure folders are maintained and available for review by Security Leadership and all regulatory and accreditation agencies. .
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of Security Team members
- Assist in investigating incidents regarding compliance or regulator/accreditation requirements
- Review site post orders annually and collaborate needed changes with the appropriate Security Managers
- Maintain subject matter expertise in applicable healthcare security related compliance requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the development of policies related to security and security programs.
- Become a certified instructor for all CHS de-escalation training programs
- Interacts with co-workers, CHS staff and supervisors in a pro-active, courteous, professional and service oriented manner. - Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information, employee information and other confidential information covered by regulations or professional ethics.
- Adheres to all CHS and departmental policies and procedures.
- Attends CHS annual mandatory in-service programs and maintains current knowledge of safety practices as demonstrated by Record of Inservice/Continuing Education and performs duties in accordance with established procedures.
- Participates in the quality improvement process of the Department and/or Health System.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings to enhance skills and development as demonstrated by Record of Inservice/Continuing Education.
- Maintains and enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, workshops, and professional affiliations.
