Role Description
IntelliScript’s Information Technology has been a key part of our success and is critical to our future. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing a new team of test automation engineers, and will emphasize data driven, incremental improvements to our quality strategy, drive forward our test automation initiatives, and mentor others within the organization to advance quality maturity across the board. You will collaborate on IntelliScript’s transition from manual to automated testing, making key contributions to our DevOps culture.
The Quality Assurance Manager will be a quality advocate and have responsibility for IntelliScript’s tiered test strategy. You will work with the quality assurance engineers to develop and implement best practices and improve QA processes. You will collaborate with the Development and DevOps teams to integrate automated test routines into the CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a team of test automation engineers
- Facilitate collaboration amongst the embedded QA engineers and drive the QA community within IntelliScript towards best practices and increased automation
- Drive IntelliScript’s test automation strategic roadmap; advocate for what types and limits of test automation provide a good return on investment for the organization
- Manage the search, evaluation and PoC of 3rd party tools that will support the overall test strategy
- Work with the QA engineering team to create standardized documentation and test management procedures
- Participate in technical implementations, while providing technical guidance and mentoring to the quality assurance engineers
- Collaborate with your teammates and be an advocate and expert for quality and testing across the entire software development life cycle
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in automated and manual testing (related degrees / certifications a plus)
- Prior experience with managing and mentoring team members and elevating the practices of a quality assurance team, with specific focus on test automation across the entire application stack
- Strong experience testing C#, SQL, JavaScript, .NET applications, APIs and web services
- Experience with full software development lifecycle practices
- Ability to ramp up quickly on both new technologies and existing technologies
- Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills
- Excellent collaborative skills, with strong written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated team player who can run with a project and is willing to pitch in as needed

- Continued education and/or advanced degree(s)

- Experience in software-as-a-service, actuarial science and/or insurance underwriting industry
Location
This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, this position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed.
The base salary for the position will vary with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $155,000 depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus plan, profit sharing, and generous benefits.
