About the Role
As the Manager of People Analytics, you will support People + Culture department on the execution of key analytics initiatives. In this role, you will build upon existing People + Culture data analytics investments and deepen the capabilities of the business to deliver insights. You will work in partnership with People + Culture Business Partners, Justice, Equity & Antiracism coordinating team, Digital Solutions, IT Data Governance, and key business leaders to manage and deliver reporting and insights to on key people strategies.
What you will Do
  • In partnership with Leaders of People + Culture, Digital Solutions, Data Governance and Justice, Equity & Antiracism teams manage people analytics to advance Patagonia’s people priorities. This includes maturing our people analytics and insights on specific projects and a way to identify and evaluate their potential impact and systematize the work and deliverables.
  • Manage the execution of enterprise employee listening tools such as survey programs (annual company pulse survey). Manage the implementation of continuous employee listening tools to measure company culture and employee experience and engagement.
  • Partner with Justice, Equity and Antiracism team to support JEA strategy this includes taking inventory of data sets, manage insights, ongoing reporting, provide best practices for JEA reporting, help mature key JEA metrics and ensure metrics are embedded within broader governance and reporting structures for accountability.
  • Manage ongoing ad-hoc reporting such as 1. Various dashboards and reporting on workforce planning e.g. headcount, talent, retention trends, compensation, diversity demographics). Create key insights to evaluate and understand what is happening within our workforce, why its happening, what actions will improve or maintain it and best approaches to achieve an inclusive and equitable employee experience. 3. Work with IT data governance team to manage the adoption of enterprise data governance policies and strengthen capability for data literacy of how we use data on managing people decisions.
  • Partner with IT Data Governance Team for greater awareness of enterprise data governance strategies, policies, and application to People + Culture. Support working groups for data governance structure.
  • Manage external reporting such as B-Corp, gender and equity reports.
  • Design and facilitate training, tools and resources for people leaders and employees on how to use data and insights from employee listening tools and move towards prioritizing action.
  • Facilitate conversations with key business leaders to pull datapoints and research together to tell compelling stories and influence leaders.
  • In partnership with the Digital Solutions team build and continually maintain to improve data warehouse for all available and relevant company data on people. This includes designing systems and processes for storing and quickly accessing people data.
  • Manage the administration of Qualtrics in partnership with digital solutions team. Key partner and own Qualtrics account to manage contractual implementation and deliverables.
  • Continually source and improve tools to visualize data and tell stories with data that facilitate data driven decision making (Power BI, Infographics, Excel, etc.)
  • Educate other members of the Human Resource team and business leadership on the basics of data analytics and the value of advanced analytical techniques.
  • Assist in projects that use workforce data to inform senior leadership on key employee questions and drive better decision making.
Experience You bring
  • 6+ years of experience in roles managing data analytics, reporting, creating data driven models and reports for decision-making focused on people and talent outcomes for a human resource function.
  • Significant hands-on experience with various Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, and Visualization Tools.
  • Experience working on data and reporting for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Experience working in a B-corp and has led B-corp reporting.
  • Business acumen, project management skills, an ability to successfully partner with colleagues, and a strong data analytic orientation
  • Demonstrated success in improving the experience for employees and managers
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical, solution-driven initiatives that quickly add value to the business. Credibility as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, business leaders and teams.
  • Result-driven mindset, ability to tackle complex issues and experience working through others to advise the business on human capital priorities
  • Proven success at building relationships, an ability to understand the business needs of customers and depth in consulting engagements influencing others to action without authority
Pay range: $103,450 - $172,490
Hiring range: $120,000 - $140,000
At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
