IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate has five years of experience spearheading a cross-functional team with a focus on streamlining end-to-end operations across end-user asset management. Oversees performance reviews. Manages a wide range of functions, including ordering, receiving, asset tagging, storing, and tracking of IT equipment.

Improves staff performance by identifying competency gaps and delivering an individual-centric training sessions.

Determines areas of improvement and implemented best practices to maintain asset databases (CMDB).

Contributes to institutional values by delivering accurate accounting of technology asset lifecycle costs and risks.

Monitors and analyzes trends in spending and inventory control to make recommendations for future value improvement.

Job Description:
The Manager of IT Asset Management leads the operations of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) team. The ITAM Manager is responsible for the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. The ITAM Manager coaches, and trains subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
5 -10 years consulting practice advisory and/or large company IT audit, IT Asset Management, or Compliance related work experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment.
One year or more experience training and coaching staff.

Job Duties Outlined:
Building the strategy and providing the vision, direction and day-to-day leadership and continual improvement for the IT Asset Management team to ensure proper and timely implementation of process deliverables
Develop ITAM policies, reporting, KPIs, position descriptions, audit plans, CMDB reconciliation, standard practice manual, etc
Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills
Mature the ITAM program and create automated and sustainable ITAM operations, by reducing manual efforts that lead to errors. Propose, plan, and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to deliver system automation
Develop, implement, and review University process and policies around IT compliance of software, hardware, inventory control and ITAM processes
Designing, planning and deployment of IT compliance for software, IT hardware, IT inventory and ITAM processes with IT and business customers. Contributes to the proactive identification of automation opportunities in workflow, electronic information availability and new management tools
Promote IT compliance management and set goals around initiatives
Ability to adjust priorities to meet goals of the department and organization
Demonstrates an understanding for and maintains confidentiality as required by this position and the ability to work effectively with a wide diversity of people and positions
Establish and maintain effective written and interpersonal communications with customers regarding IT compliance activities
Demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills with good analytical and quantitative abilities. Must be very detail oriented, well organized, and accurate in work produced.
Develop and execute practices to minimize risk of non-compliance
Collaborate with vendors and purchasing team to acquire compliance needs as required
Develop and lead IT compliance management awareness training for department
Assists with departmental special projects and initiatives
