Supports SHC executive leaders in strategic market development efforts through specific analytical projects supporting system-wide strategy.

What you will do
Directly manages analysts and senior analysts in the Market Development group.
Leads the design, deployment and maintenance of key data fact bases and market forces (e.g., competitive data, demographics, payer mix, physician network and affiliations, system consolidation and growth, service line growth) and disseminates key trends.
Directly interfaces with key executives to scope objectives, design workplan to reach objectives, design and execute create analysis, and report out on results.
Builds consensus among critical stakeholders within SHC on path forward on strategic initiatives (e.g., enter into alliance, execute acquisition, exit specific business, agree to participate in CMS programs).
Conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses that contribute to the development of strategic insights into new market opportunities - including the identification of new service and product opportunities, market sizing, financial and economic modeling, mergers and acquisitions, investment planning, and scenario analysis.
Creates action-oriented insights and recommendations in communicative and impactful documents for executives to use.
Lead cross-functional projects related to Market Development (e.g., new joint venture in a service line, run RFP processes, develop strategy for building patient access) that cut across multiple SHC key business units, to deliver key business impact on high priority issues as SHC plans for the future.
Provides project leadership for multi-dimensional, matrix-oriented teams through all phases of the strategic planning cycle.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, healthcare administration, public health or a related field.
Experience Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or management consulting.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to business leaders and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to conduct complex quantitative and qualitative analyses, derive insights from findings, and formulate recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional work streams in a team setting and manage multiple projects.
Ability to provide leadership and influence others.
Advanced user of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word (experience with analytics software e.g., SQL, Alteryx preferred).
Command of analytical tools, including MS Excel (MS Access is a plus).
Familiarity with healthcare data types, including patient data, demographic data, healthcare financial data, and others.
Knowledge of the health care industry.
Knowledge of the strategic planning needs of an academic medical center.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $64.52 - $85.49 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
