Mission: MGA Entertainment is seeking an exceptionally bright, multi-tasking, and self-motivated Licensing manager to support and grow the licensing business in Mexico and Latam reporting to the Licensing Director for Mexico and Latam.
The most successful candidate will need to have licensing experience, negotiation skills and be able to grow and expand our softlines licensing business in the region.
The ideal candidate can work successfully in a team environment, build effective working relationships inside and outside of the group. The candidate must have experience working with retail in the region and managing licensees and licensing process.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Manage the current licensees for these categories and bring additional business into MGA in key categories (apparel, home and footwear).
- Elaborate Category strategy for Mexico and Latam region for the next 3 years by brand and territory.
- Work closely with retailers and licensees for brand pitches, promotions and special programs for key seasons (Children’s day, Summer, BTS, Holidays).
- Negotiations with current licensees on renewals or extensions, bring new licensing partners searching for AAA licensees.
- Determine key players for these categories in the region: maintain LOL, start Rainbow High program for this categories and expand with Bratz and Little Tikes.
- Responsible for forecasting and working closely with finance to make sure that licensees report royalties, send forecast and pay in time.
- Increase business with promotional partners to increase brand awareness and marketing expenditure.
- Follow up with licensees on their marketing expenses by contract and work closely with them to coordinate cross- category placements at retail.
