Purpose:

Vesper Energy is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join the Vesper Energy team as Manager, interconnection Strategy. Key skills required for this role include proficiency with business intelligence software, automation languages, process management, and clear communication.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a desire to automate tasks, excellent communication skills, and translate large/complex data to a broader audience . A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role. Renewable energy experience is required preferably in managing the interconnection process for utility scale projects in any independent system operator or regional transmission owner.

Desired Educational Level:

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Basic Qualifications:

· 2-4 years of direct experience with an electric utility, ISO/RTO, or consulting firm

· 1-2 years’ experience managing the full-cycle interconnection process across multiple ISO’s.

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering required. Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degrees strongly preferred.

· Experience with MS Power BI, Python Automation, VBA, and MS Office Suite

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with external/internal vendors and stakeholders

Responsibilities:

· Manage the interconnection process for Vesper’s development pipeline in multiple ISOs (PJM, MISO, ERCOT, CAISO, etc.) by collaborating with internal teams, filing interconnection requests, tracking progress in the queue, and proposing optimal interconnection strategies, and coordinating with system operators and transmission owners on design, schedule, and cost at a project specific level.

· Build and manage a team of interconnection process-focused experts with hands-on skills with business intelligence software, automation tools, and the ability to clearly communicate highly technical information to drive business making decisions.

· Create or improve existing business intelligence and project management tools to aid in more efficient management of the interconnection process and project portfolio.

· Analyze interconnection study results, estimate cost, and schedule requirements of interconnection facilities, network upgrades and how they impact the anticipated commercial schedule and interconnection cost for a project.

· Act as primary point of contact with interconnection consultants, utilities, ISOs, and RTOs

· Manage and update the interconnection strategy for each active project within Vesper’s project portfolio.

· Provide commercial and strategic guidance, with the support of senior management, on the company’s development pipeline, M&A targets, and operational assets.

· Actively participate in relevant ISO/RTO interconnection process stakeholder groups, meetings and stay current on associated reforms.

· Additional ad hoc tasks as needed.
