Unique opportunity in the Electronic Medical Equipment (EME) department to manage the development and implementation process for EME projects. This role requires leading cross-functional teams to deliver defined products/solutions to the business (initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes). This role will manage the development and implementation of high priority development projects that will add significant value to the business.

Function or Divisional Overview:

The EME team in Arden Hills, MN is proud to be a Center of Excellence for EME within Boston Scientific, supporting diverse projects across the company, utilizing a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing therapies/systems to patients and clinicians in support of BSC’s mission. The Project Manager role will participate as a member of the EME product engineering team, supporting multiple projects. The position includes a variety of sustaining engineering and new product development opportunities.

This position can be fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimates project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
• Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
• Directs project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
• Assures project quality by using standard development methodologies and by working with QA to develop and execute project quality plans.
• Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
• Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers and others as appropriate.
• This role will also work closely with international teams and external suppliers.

• Leads cross-functional team of employees to achieve organizational goals.

• Direct and control the activities and budget of one or more projects/programs.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• BS Degree, Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years related work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small and medium cross functional teams.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience developing new products in a regulated industry.
• Experience leading Electronic Medical Equipment projects in the BSC quality system.
• Experience leading BSC cross-divisional projects.
• Experience working with global teams and offshore resources.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and/or material suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the medical device industry.
• Lean business processes and problem solving tools.
• Project Management training/certification (PMP).
