Manager, Healthcare Analytics Job at Plus One, an Optum Company
We are currently seeking a Manager, Healthcare Analytics to join our on-site wellness team. This position can be located in Jersey City, NJ; Dallas, TX; or Salt Lake City, UT.
Job Overview:
The Manager, Population Health will report directly to the Optum Workplace Director, Population Health and Project Management. The primary responsibility of this role is to represent Optum Workplace Well-being at our client, work cross-functionally with the client’s Wellness / Benefits leadership to develop strategic direction for metric collection and reporting to inform the client’s population health management strategy. Additional duties include identifying and initiating additional business opportunities for both Optum and the client.
What you will do:
- Work cross functionally, liaising with Wellness / Benefits leadership to set strategic agenda for population health management strategy with a particular focus on global & regional reporting and data analytics with cost outcomes for both
- Manage relationship with client’s data warehouse to implement strategic reporting and data analytics strategy
- Provide direction to Global reporting team in developing global reporting goals, objectives and processes with a focus on output
- Ability to develop ROI/VOI reporting for Wellness and Benefits programs
- Shape and deliver population health management strategy
- Establish, refine and develop metrics that support population health management projects across Benefits and Wellness Lead Benefits and Wellness projects related to annual strategy
- Use data analysis to identify and implement opportunities to improve health outcomes, claims experience and lower medical costs
- Provide reporting for Regulatory, Compliance and Tax
- Assist in implementation of intervention change management programs and evaluate program success
What we are looking for:
- Bachelors degree, preferably in business management, analytics or health promotion
- 5+ years of work experience, preferably in health population management or wellness
- Strong background in analytics, program and project management
- Experience in population health management and or data analytics
- Experience in a corporate worksite environment
- Experience managing third parties
- Knowledge and interest in Benefits / Wellness-related field or organizational behavior
- Experience managing projects across multiple departments with various stakeholders
- Global experience
- Preferred: Strong leadership skills, ability to work with leadership at various levels of the firm Ability to manage vendors and drive results

For residents of New York City and Colorado only: The salary range for this position is between $100,000 to $125,000. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, Plus One offers a comprehensive benefits package (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
