Job Description
The Practice Manager is responsible for the management of ambulatory practice operations at the Family Practice Center (FPC), including employee supervision, and meeting and/or exceeding organizational goals and objectives relating to operating budget and revenue cycle management. The Practice Manager is a highly visible position that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with patients, physicians and other visitors he/she encounters, both in person and on the phone.

Job Duties
Practice Operations - Communicate goals & objectives regarding quality, patient experience, financial performance, and other stated measures as appropriate. Maintain associate schedule and appropriate staffing levels to ensure efficient workflow and patient care. Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator to ensure adequate staffing levels to support practice operations
Personnel Management - Collaborate with Human Resources to interview candidates for open positions. Oversee associates working at the FPC, including effective new associate orientation & onboarding, time & attendance, performance management, and talent development. Ensure a supportive environment to maintain associate retention. Resolve associate and/or provider issues, utilizing leadership and HR assistance as appropriate.
Communication - Conduct meetings at appropriate frequency (at least monthly) with Family Practice Residency leadership and faculty to give and receive feedback regarding FPC operations and its impact on Resident education. Conduct meetings at appropriate frequency (at least monthly) with FPC associates to review practice performance goals and objectives, give and receive feedback regarding the work environment, patient experience, quality outcomes, and financial performance of the FPC. Conduct and/or facilitate training and development opportunities as appropriate for FPC associates. Attend monthly leadership meetings as invited.
Revenue Cycle Management -- Work with the Central Business Office to improve revenue cycle management and net collections through established workflow processes.
Resident FPC Schedules and Productivity - review and monitor resident schedules and productivity to achieve Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and PCMH requirements and provide a meaningful, well-planned ambulatory experience for each resident.

Qualifications

Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Associate degree
Must have a valid driver’s license for local travel between work locations.

Specialized Knowledge:
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn other computer skills. Must have good organizational skills and work professionally with doctors, hospital administration and management, SEH employees, and the public.

Kind and Length of Experience:
3 years’ experience in the medical industry
1 year experience supervising people
DESIRABLE
Board Certification in the American College of Medical Practice Executives
EHR experience (Epic preferred)
Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals experience
Process/Quality Improvement experience
Previous practice management or supervisory experience in an ambulatory practice setting.
