What will I be doing?
- Joining a team of motivated professionals at the 5th largest Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) in the country
- Coordinating and leading various committees and subcommittees related to Clean Cities & Clean Vehicles
- Coordinating and leading Clean Cities Coalition activities, including Clean Vehicles programs, Alternative Fuels programs, and new Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure planning, partnerships, and funding programs
- Defining and executing program goals, maintaining budgets, implementing hiring and staffing plans, and developing an annual work plan for the team
- Being responsible for the day-to-day management of a diverse group of professional staff, ensuring compliance with all regulations, program goals, and performance metrics
- Identifying and pursuing funding opportunities (federal, state, local, or private) and public or private sources of credit for continuation of current program activities and the development of new activities
- Expanding H-GAC’s presence on preparing for and addressing alternative fuels regionally, consistent with state and federal guidelines
- Working with Clean Cities, Clean Vehicles, and Air Quality program coordinators to develop regional and statewide networks, incentives, and air quality strategies
- Demonstrating a high level of leadership and competency, including team building, proactive engagement, and project management/execution
Key Qualifications
- Experience with leading regional, state, or local environmental, air quality, and transportation activities. Management experience preferred
- Solid communication skills, both orally and in writing, along with high-level program management skills
- Experience managing and leading diverse teams
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and work effectively with others in a team atmosphere
- Knowledge of transportation alternatives, air quality emission reductions, grant and loan monitoring, program administration and coalition building
- Ability to collect, analyze, and communicate data associated with transportation air quality and alternative fuels programs
- Experience working with MPOs, transportation agencies, air quality or environmental agencies or local or regional government
Do you have…
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
- 5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, or in similar job-related duties

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $92,390.00 - $156,256.00 per year
