Position: Manager Cash Operations

Primary Location: Harwich Port

Employment Status: Full-time, Salaried/Exempt

Reports To: CFO


Summary/Objective

The Manager of Cash Operations will oversee and provide subject matter expertise in the timely and accurate processing of all cash activities for Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS). The incumbent will manage all reconciliation and tracking operations of cash across all sites and will work with stakeholders on processes and controls.


Essential Functions

  • Independently manage and monitor daily work related to the resolution of third-party payer accounts receivable to insure the appropriate posting of cash to accounts receivable in Epic.
  • Daily reconciliation of all bank accounts against AR or GL.
  • Daily reconciliation of credit card payments.
  • Daily reconciliation of remittance and receivables in the QS1 pharmacy system.
  • Responsible for the daily accounting of petty cash.
  • Responsible for ERA, EDI and EFT enrollment with the payers. Maintain a 95% electronic payment.
  • Follow-up with Payer/EPIC on unposted cash.
  • Maintains relationship with Credit Card Merchant on MID processing.
  • Responsible for Payer Portal Access for EOB retrieval.
  • Maintain and produce daily reporting of unapplied cash.
  • Develop and maintain all policies and procedures related to cash controls.
  • Responsible for developing training and support for all staff members that handle cash.

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Minimum AA degree; BS or BA
  • 3 5 years management experience
  • 3 5 years of Cash Operations


Supervisory Duties

  • Directly supervises the Patient Accounts Staff.

Work Environment

  • The functions of this role are conducted in an office environment.


Hours of Work

  • This role is paid on a salaried basis.
  • The hours of work for this position are:
  • Typically, full-time salaried employees work 40 hours during a [Monday through Friday or Sunday through Saturday] workweek. However, this is a salaried position. Therefore, the individual is expected to work as required to complete the duties of the position. This may mean hours beyond 40 per week are required.
