The Central Business Office Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the functions of the Business Office. Manager will be required to develop, implement, monitor and update work flows to ensure productivity, accuracy and timeliness of patient billing. This includes managing the implementation and utilization of third party vendors.
Responsibilities:
AR Management
- Maintains AR at expected levels.
- Establishes and reviews workflows to improve claims processing speed and accuracy.
- Monitors AR to identify patterns and issues for review.
Denials Management
- Establishes workflows required to minimize avoidable denials.
- Understands payer specific billing requirements to avoid denials.
- Communicates denial patterns to appropriate team(s) to facilitate improved workflows.
- Denial auditing to ensure proper utilization.
Productivity
- Establishes and maintains productivity standards for billing and follow-up staff.
- Develops team priorities, goals and objectives.
- Creates and monitors performance metrics
Management
- Improved expense management to a minimum of budget expectations.
- Vendor development and management.
- Identify performance opportunities and implement appropriate action plans.
Compliance/Safety
- Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
- Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
- If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
- Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

Minimum 2 years healthcare revenue cycle experience- Required
